Backlog

What we plan to build next, in roughly the order we expect to build it. This is a plan rather than a promise: there are no dates here, and the order moves when what you tell us changes it. If one of these matters to you, say so — that is usually what moves it up.

Each entry carries the date it was added. Struck through means it shipped. It stays here, with a link to what changed, rather than quietly disappearing — if you were waiting on it, you should be able to find out that it arrived.

MCP / API access

Added 25 August 2026.

Reach spOken from your own tools instead of only through the app: read responses, create forms, pull files. The same access is what lets an AI assistant work with your material directly — ask it to go through last week's answers and it can, rather than you exporting a file and pasting it in.

Webhooks

Added 25 August 2026.

Have spOken tell another tool when something happens — a response arrives, an export finishes — instead of that tool asking over and over. This is the piece that connects spOken to whatever you already run, from a spreadsheet to a CRM.

Live recording ("Rooms")

Added 25 August 2026.

Record with someone instead of waiting for them. You send a link, they join in the browser, and you talk in real time — with each side captured at full quality locally, so the recording does not inherit whatever the connection was doing that day. Asynchronous recording is not going anywhere; this is for the conversations that want both people present.

Joining a team from an invitation

Added 29 August 2026.

Adding someone to a team only works today if they already have a spOken account, and if they do not, nothing tells them they were invited — the invitation simply sits there. It should send them an email with a link that creates their account and puts them straight into the team, so the person inviting does not have to explain the sign-up first.

~~Private podcast~~

Added 25 August 2026 · shipped 28 August 2026.

Done — 28 August 2026. A collection can be handed out through as many feed links as you like, each named for whoever you gave it to and each revocable on its own. Withdrawing one stops that feed and the episode audio behind it, and leaves every other link working. spOken still submits a feed nowhere.

~~A feed only the people you choose can use — a course cohort, a client, a team — rather than one that merely happens to be unlisted. What is missing is the ability to revoke: an address you can rotate when it ends up somewhere you did not intend.~~
