Closing screens¶
The last thing a respondent sees. A closing screen is not a step type — you do not add it from Add New Step; the form shows it automatically once the final step is done, and you choose which one under the step list in the builder.
| Choice | What it is |
|---|---|
| Default | A plain thank-you. |
| Summary | A thank-you that also confirms what was recorded. |
| Celebration | A festive one. |
| No closing step | No ending at all — see the warning below. |
Each has a title and a description you write yourself.
You still receive the answers without one
Answers arrive step by step, as they are given. A form ending in No closing step collects everything just the same, and a respondent who closes the tab has already sent you what they filled in.
The button on the closing screen only marks the moment a response becomes final, which is what Lock answers after submit is built on. With no closing screen there is nothing to press, so answers never lock — the setting simply has no effect.
When answers are locked, this screen carries the submit button, and afterwards it shows the respondent their answers read-only with Start over with new answers. That whole sequence is described from their side in what your respondents see.
